“Do you believe there is a part of yourself, deep inside in your mind, with things you don’t want other people to see?”

UGH fuck yes. I love this movie.

My favorite Jennifer Lopez movie! As a kid, I LOVED the visuals of this movie! (Which explains so much about me now!)

Movie Series: Mrs. Coulter

Marissa Coulter from The Golden Compass. Deliciously evil, conniving, ambitious, and stylish to a fault, Mrs. Coulter knew what she wanted and she went after it, with a wicked grin and a golden monkey. Here’s another character Nicole Kidman has played while looking fabulous!

Movie Series: Mrs. Lovett

Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd. I love Tim Burton, I love Sweeney Todd, I love Mrs. Lovett, I loved Helena Bonham Carter. Mrs. Lovett is my favorite character in this movie. I think she’s very identifiable in the aspect that everyone can sympathize with loving someone who doesn’t even know you exist. Everyone can identify with wanting someone to love you the way you love them but their heart belongs to someone else. Everytime he pushes her into the flames, I want to cry. Last one of the night.

Movie Series: Marie Antoinette

Pretty self explanatory of where she’s from! The movie was a little slow paced but I enjoyed it. The thing is there’s about 70 outfits in the entire movie so I decided to just put up some of my favorites. That aside, I’ve always considered myself to be a Marie Antoinette figure- indulgent, a trendsetter, and a tragic victim of circumstance. Lol. Jk. Not really. Enjoy.

Movie Series: Hatsumomo

Hatsumomo of Memoirs of a Geisha. Read the book…loved it! Saw the movie…loved it! But my favorite character is not the star of the show, Sayuri, but the books “antagonist”. The thing I loved about Hatsumomo is that she’s very human. I always felt Sayuri was too nice, too perfect, while Hatsumomo was ambitious and desperate to be loved. It was just heartbreaking for me. I also love that in the movie, they relaxed her appearance to make her a geisha rulebreaker. I have always wished she found love after the okiya burned. And I think Gong Li is so beautiful.

As an added bonus, clips from Sayuri’s Snow Dance which was stunning!
